palmOne™ and Handango Extend Worldwide Alliance

Market Leaders Launch New Marketing Initiatives and Expand Globally

MILPITAS, Calif., and HURST, Texas, Dec. 8, 2003 -- Today palmOne, Inc. (Nasdaq: PLMO) and Handango, the leading provider of mobile downloads, announced the extension of their worldwide, multiyear strategic alliance. The new agreement builds on the foundation of two years of successful collaboration with aggressive new initiatives expanding the palmOne Software Connection (http://software.palmone.com) into Asia Pacific markets and raising customer awareness of software for palmOne™ handhelds and smartphones.

Marketing Initiatives
Among the initiatives, there will be a link to a "Bonus Software Portal" on the CD included with palmOne handhelds. The Bonus Software Portal will give new palmOne handheld owners up to three free applications and direct them to the palmOne Software Connection in their country where they can find, try and purchase thousands of other applications.

"We're honoured to continue our work with palmOne and build upon our strong success growing the palmOne Software Connection over the past two years," said Randy Eisenman, president and chief executive officer of Handango. "Through these new initiatives, such as the Bonus Software Portal and APAC launch, our two companies are increasing the number of palmOne customers who experience the power of applications, thereby strengthening the entire Palm OS® software economy."

Handango and palmOne plan to build on the success of past emarketing programs by including software as a component in an expanded number of palmOne email marketing campaigns.

Software for all
"Whether the user is an executive or a wine maker, a student or an art collector, a handheld device is made more personal and useful by customising it with software," said William Lynch, vice president of solutions marketing for palmOne. "With 30 million Palm OS based handhelds and smartphones sold to date, the breadth of software Handango offers lets every palmOne device owner personalise their experience, maximise their investment and enhance their productivity."
