How does my device set up services automatically?
Your device knows which services are included in each web account. You don't need to separately set up each application (Calendar, Contacts, etc.) to sync with the account you picked. Your device does it for you!
Here's what your device sets up automatically, once you've added the account to your device.
Google
- Google Calendar
- Gmail email
- Google Contacts
- Google Talk (Gmail chat)
Yahoo!
- Yahoo! Calendar
- Yahoo! Mail
- Yahoo! Contacts. Contacts are synchronized in one direction only. Contacts from Yahoo! appear on your device, but you can't make changes on your device.
- Yahoo! Messenger
Microsoft Exchange
- Exchange Calendar
- Exchange email
- Exchange Contacts
- Exchange Tasks
Facebook
One-way sync. Calendar & Contacts from Facebook appear on your device, but you can't change them on your device. Changes made on Facebook automatically transfer to your device every 24 hours, or after you manually sync. Facebook contact info comes from the profiles of your Facebook friends. Facebook does not allow you to change another user's profile, including their Contact info. If you need to make changes on your device, the phone creates a new contact that includes the changes.

LinkedIn
One-way sync. Contacts from LinkedIn appear on your device, but you can't change them on your device.
