What's synchronized, and where does it go?

Whatever you do on your device, it will sync with the web account you chose.

For example, Google has Calendar, email, and Contacts. But it doesn't have a Notes feature that your device supports. This info is backed up to your Palm profile.

Here's how each account type is backed up:

Google

Yahoo!

Microsoft Exchange

Facebook

Synchronization for Calendar/Contacts in one direction only. Calendar & Contacts from Facebook appear on your device, but you can't change them on your device. Changes made on Facebook automatically transfer to your device every 24 hours, or after you manually sync. Facebook contact info comes from the profiles of your Facebook friends. Facebook does not allow you to change another user's profile. If you need to make changes on your device, it creates a new contact that includes the changes.

LinkedIn

Synchronization for Contacts in one direction only. Contacts from LinkedIn appear on your device, but you can't change them on your device. Changes made on LinkedIn automatically transfer to your device every 24 hours, or after you manually sync. LinkedIn contact info comes from the profiles of your LinkedIn connections. LinkedIn does not allow you to change another user's profile. If you need to make changes on your device, it creates a new contact that includes the changes.

1 - Unless you have more than one account on your device, and you choose to sync items with that account.
