Treo 680 Camera Update
Palm has identified that the Treo 680 device can experience reduced battery life when the camera is used. The camera may continue to draw power from the battery when the device is in standby mode. A Treo 680 Camera Update is now available to address this.
Who should install this update?
All Treo 680 smartphone users who purchased their device before January 18, 2007 should install this Update.
Download & installl
- When you click on the download link (below), installation will begin. But first, read these instructions and make sure you understand them.
- When asked where to "Save to:" select Device, then select Yes. On the Download screen, select Save and open. When asked whether you want to accept "Treo680CameraUpdate.prc" into Applications, select Yes.
- When prompted, select OK to reset your device.
- After the reset, press Applications
. Select Camera.
- The installation of the Treo 680 Camera Update is now complete.

How do I determine if the update was successful?
Press Applications . Then press Menu 
. From the App menu, select Info...
Tap Version at the bottom of the screen. Use your stylus to scroll down until you see CameraLib-camL
Verify that the version is v.3.1 (pictured). If you see v.3.1, you have successfully installed the update.
